A time for Burning
This 1966 award-winning documentary explores a white, middle class church that struggled to reach out to the "Negroes" in their city. Filmed as it actually happened, it is a valuable case study of how conscientious Christians tried to cope in a "nation divided" by race a generation ago. Today it provides a historic landmark for us to consider how much has changed and how much remains the same.
