We're a community-built
business. Every aspect of who we are, and why we
have lasted, is the result of the dedication,
generosity, support, and love of the people who have
added their personal touches as we've evolved and
grown. Here are some of the people who make the
business run, day to day.
Daniel “Danny B” Stewart
dannyB has been involved in book sales for most of
the last 75+ years. A Marine Corps veteran, he
credits Christianity with changing the course of his
life, and introducing him to the legacy he now
guards.
dB spent decades as a Seventh-day Adventist
'colporteur," selling books door to door in black
communities across the American south and Midwest.
He later went Independent; opening and operating two
brick and mortal retail stores in Omaha, Nebraska.
In 1985 he opened Health and Character Education in
the Blue Lion Center at 24th And Lake Streets; the
heart of Omaha's historically black district.
About five years later, he started Midwest Christian
Sales, in the Central Park neighborhood of North
Omaha.
dannyB has been doing business online since the
latter 1990s, knitting together a solid
understanding of how the internet can be used to
build sustainable business, based on a credibility
and authenticity.
He'll bend your ear about Jewish philosophy, and the
historic role 'publishing' has played in helping to
maintain stable and solid black communities any time
you want to listen.
He works personally with the pastors and church
leaders looking for bulk church supplies, and has
one of the nation's best networks for servicing
church congregations of every major denomination and
geographic location.

Our Story
INTERNATIONAL BIBLES.COM·MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 2,
2019·
Since 1983, International Bibles has been supplying
churches across America with the basic elements that
make the church experience familiar.
We make our living selling hymnals, pew bibles,
Sunday school quarterlies and other paraphernalia
— all of the supplies a church needs to honor the
sacred traditions of worship and a spiritual life.
It is a mission rooted in the roots of our own
personal faith traditions in the black church.
For hundreds of years, these institutions have stood
rock solid in the small towns and urban centers we
have called home during the joys and sorrows of our
American experience.
More than just Sunday morning recharging stations;
these congregations have christened and taught our
children, shepherding them in the values that make
us unique. They have married our young people in
love, providing guidance and support through
lifetimes of ups and downs. They have buried our
elders at the end of the journey.
They have been our record-keepers, our social
organizers, and our command centers as troubled
times have required. They are a glue that has held
our communities together.
We are persuaded this is a legacy worth guarding.
And International Bibles will by continuing to serve
congregations large and small with all the little
things that make the black church experience a vital
part of life in America. Just as important take a
much more active role in honoring the history,
celebrating the achievements and milestones, and
investing our resources in preserving and sharing
the story and legacy of the black church into the
future.
We invite you to get to know us. Tell us about your
black church experience. Join our ongoing
celebration of this powerful past and brilliant
future.
